Joelle Donofrio

Joelle is a board certified pediatrician who is dual fellowship trained in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (Harbor UCLA Medical Center) and Disaster Medicine and Emergency Medical Services (University of California, San Diego).

As of July 2016, she became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Diego as well as the EMS Medical Director for Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego.

She is a podcaster for the Prehospital Emergency Care Podcast, an audio publication from the National Association of Emergency Medical Service Physicians (NAEMSP).  http://pecpodcast.libsyn.com

Joelle’s research interests and publications involve pediatric disaster and prehospital care of both adults and children.  Her other interests involve paramedic pediatric education and optimization of prehospital system based care.

Outside of the academic arena, Joelle can be found painting, learning to surf, and working in her garden.
