Biography

Lakshay completed Emergency Medicine training at Christian Medical College, Vellore, following which he joined Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad and took the Royal College of Emergency Medicine exams, becoming a member of RCEM by examination in June 2014.

He was also certified as a Fellow of the Academic College of Emergency Experts in India in 2015.

Lakshay’s areas of interest include teaching, medical education and advancing Emergency Medicine as a specialty in India.

He has always been actively involved in teaching residents, students, and nurses.

He is an alumnus of The Teaching Course 2014, which was held in Baltimore. Following this course, as an attempt to spread FOAMed in India, he launched his blog (www.emdidactic.in) that focuses on resident education and talks about common issues in EM pertaining to the subcontinent.

Lakshay has also authored chapters such as “Cardiac Biomarkers” in Coronary Artery Disease 2014 handbook and “Heart Failure” in Clinical Pathways in Emergency Medicine by Prof. Suresh David.
