Ricardo is a naturalised Australian citizen and originally a native of The Bahamas in The Caribbean.
Though a true West Indian cricket fan at heart, he does far little on the pitch to match the bravado of legends of the sport.
His expertise is as a general and trauma surgeon with strong interests in military surgery, colorectal surgery, humanitarian work, acute care surgery, critical care and surgical education.
Ricardo trained and has worked in Jamaica, The Bahamas, South Africa and Australia.
He has had a proud association with the Developing Emergency Medicine conference since its inauguration in 2012.
Ricardo is extraordinarily happy not only to teach but ultimately to visit Sri Lanka, as he can finally tick it off as one of his “must do” things in life.
