Tomas is currently an Attending Physician at the Emergency Department of Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal in Madrid.
He is a Professor of Ultrasound Curriculum at Francisco de Vitoria University School of Medicine, in Madrid.
Tomas completed an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship period at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
He is a Member of the Board of Directors of WINFOCUS, a member of Ultrasound Section of European Society of Emergency Medicine (EuSEM), and Chair of Ultrasound Workgroup at Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine (SEMES).
Tomas’ fields of interest include research, ultrasound and medical education, lung ultrasound and ultrasound in shock.
He has delivered lectures worldwide, and is the author of ultrasound textbooks and chapters.
