Shaila Islam

Shaila is a truly international Emergency Physician who has trained and worked in various parts of the world.

She holds qualifications to practice in Australia, New Zealand, the US and Bangladesh.

After completing post-graduate diplomas in Obestetrics/Gunaecology and Paediatrics, Shaila went on to obtain her Fellowship of ACEM in 2009.

Since then, she has held teaching hospital positions in Emergency Medicine in Australia, including a period as Director of Pre-Vocational Training and Education.

Shaila also has additional training in toxicology and ED ultrasound.

Dr Islam currently works as a specialist Emergency Physician across a network of hospitals in Sydney, Australia.

She holds a conjoint academic position as Lecturer with the University of Western Sydney.
