Biography
Chris emigrated from the UK to train as an Emergency Physician at St George Hospital, developing a strong interest in trauma management.
She was invited to join the Department as Deputy Director upon completing her Fellowship in 2013.
Since then Christine has been involved in all aspects of running the Department.
She enjoys medical education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Christine has developed simulation-based multidisciplinary Trauma Team Training and ultrasound training in trauma at St George.
She is a conjoint lecturer at UNSW.
Christine contributes to various committees, including the Institute of Trauma and Injury Management (ITIM) Education Committee of which she is Co-chair.
She is also Chair of Social Media for the popular Social Media and Critical Care (SMACC) conference, and was a founding member of the Organising Committee.
Christine believes in Free Open Access Medical Education as a powerful way of improving patient care.
She is an advocate for diversity.
